Candida Symptoms

Candida Symptoms can be so diverse and varied that it's hard to imagine that this is what you possibly have.

Candida and yeast infections really are a sly and sneaky parasitic form of yeast that causes such a wide range of candida symptoms it is truly amazing. This wide range of symptoms and complaints usually baffles most doctors in the modern medical field. They are trained that in order to have this, you have to be an Aids patient or have a serious illness like leukemia. They are partially right; people with these two diseases do see a high rate of candida infection. However, so do diabetics, which is a much more common disease that is growing at a rapid pace from the processed garbage we all eat on a daily basis.

Some common Candida Symptoms include

   Chronic hives...
   A poor appetite...
   Chronic fatigue...
   Sexual dysfunction...
   Frequent intestinal gas...
   Bloating and indigestion...
   Constipation and bad breath...
   Stiff shoulders or headaches...
   Chapped and dry flaky skin...

The most common candida symptoms are the intestinal problems. This is usually where candida begins to infect the human body. From there it can travel throughout the body in a spore form if it punctures the intestinal walls with its hyphea, or leg like tendrils. However, most of the time candida is contained in the intestine, vagina and skin. Rarely does it enter the blood stream, if it does, the result is usually death.

Think of a root on a tree, that is what the tendrils are like, since candida albicans is like a plant in part of its structure. But there is a difference in how these roots react with its host. The root of a plant sucks up nutrients and water from the ground that it grows in. Candida albicans injects exo-enzymes or mycotoxins into whatever it is attached to. These enzymes dissolve the area around the root and then it sucks up the available nutrients. What the candida doesn't want to dine on is left as waste in the human body. Is it any wonder that skin problems always seem to come along with this after a while, the load on the lymphatic system to remove this waste can get quite high. If the person becomes constipated the lymphatic system can become backed up, the skin tries its best to help out and chronic rashes are often the result.

Other Candida Symptoms are:

   Urinary disorders...
   Impotence...
   Hyperactivity...
   Bladder infections...
   Suicidal depression...
   Recurring vaginitis...
   Menstrual irregularities...
   Muscle fatigue and pain...
   Fatigue or lack of energy...
   Irritability and mood swings...
   Worsening premenstrual syndrome...

As the candida grows in the intestine, many women and men will notice occasional anal itching. For women this can be your worst nightmare, since this means the yeast is on the move and traveling to the vagina; or you have parasites. If you're not careful with the way you wipe yourself it can be transfered to the vagina. There it takes up residence if the woman's bacterial levels are low and the vaginal yeast infections begin. Since the preferred food source of sugar and simple carbohydrates is not present, the candida begins to send out its root like structures in search of carbohydrates. It becomes firmly ingrained in the soft tissues of the vagina and taps into the glucose of the blood supply. If the food source is good it begins to produce its yeast spores and the woman has a full blown yeast infection very quickly.

Many times it goes dormant only to become active around ovulation as the hormonal levels fluctuate. It itches, sometimes smells when vaginosis is also present, and commonly has a white cottage cheesy discharge if severe.

And there are more Candida Symptoms

   Memory loss...
   Blurred vision...
   Hypoglycemia...
   Short attention span...
   Learning difficulties...
   Respiratory problems...
   Sinus and ear problems...
   Symptoms of multiple sclerosis...
   Acne and hormonal imbalances...
   Excessive craving for sugars...
Being told it is all in your head...
Being told that it's just your nerves...

The sugar cravings and desire for breads and simple grains can become quite severe as the person becomes clearly addicted to  sugar. The candida feeds on this sugar and one of its waste products is methyl alcohol. This alcohol is like any other and can put the person in a state called "auto brewery syndrome" where they perpetually have a very low level hangover.

This is often followed by irritability and a short fuse towards the people around the person affected. Brain fog is so common it’s a wonder some people can even function on a daily basis. Many can't, they have to quit their jobs, quit school, and spend their days sleeping in, and in their wake hours they hide from the world.

Doctors like to prescribe anti-depressants at this stage telling the patient they are just depressed. If only they would run a blood test for candida antibodies they might just discover what this is so they can take the appropriate measures. However, those appropriate measures for candida albicans symptoms are all to often not enough. The common prescription is a day or a weeks worth of Diflucan that works at the beginning but does not get all of the candida because of the inability for Diflucan to break through the biofilm. Diflucan also does not work in the intestine, just the blood stream. It most often comes roaring back, looking for a fight, and more determined than ever to digest its victim.

If they would put a person on the drugs for 6 months using three of them in a two-week rotation, that person may stand a chance to clear up the candida yeast infection. But the medical system is broken, the drugs are hard on the liver, and they would have to authorize liver enzyme panels every two weeks to monitor for liver damage. If liver damage starts to happen, the patient is finished, the candida wins. If the patient wins the fight, they still have to replace all the good bacteria that were lost to the candida. There is no other way, or it will most certainly return.
